~Kishu Fukuno Ume Honpo "Miyabun"~

We are a family-run pickled plum shop in Wakayama Prefecture.

We make pickled plums rich in natural minerals by pickling large Nanko plums grown in southern Kishu, the home of plums, together with Kishu Binchotan charcoal and bakuhanseki (a type of mineral) .

Located in the central part of the Kii Peninsula, southern Wakayama Prefecture faces the Pacific Ocean where the Kuroshio Current flows. Influenced by the sea, it is a warm and rainy region throughout the year, but it is blessed with neutral-type mountain soil that is said to have good drainage.

Furthermore, compared to other regions, the area enjoys longer hours of sunshine, creating a natural environment suitable for growing plums.

There's a reason why some plum trees produce such magnificent plums.

[Beer plums]

Pickled plums with a subtle sweetness, made using brewer's yeast.

These pickled plums are packed with rich flavor and umami, thanks to the nutrients from brewer's yeast.

This is a unique and easy-to-eat sweet and sour dish.

*Although brewer's yeast is used, it does not have the flavor of beer.
*This product does not contain alcohol, so it is safe for children to consume.
