A nostalgic roasted aroma,
A smoky flavor that you can enjoy right down to the lingering aftertaste.
**Re-harvested tea (parent-child bancha)** which tastes just as good as first-flush tea,
This is a highly aromatic hojicha tea, carefully roasted to a slightly light roast.
It is characterized by a fragrant roasted aroma and a clean aftertaste.
It can also be enjoyed as a pleasant after-meal tea.
We carefully select raw tea leaves (tea leaves before roasting) that are suitable for hojicha.
Made with 100% Kyoto Uji tea.
The roasting time is carefully adjusted according to the temperature and humidity of the day.
We carefully roast small batches of beans, paying close attention to the color, aroma, and final finish.
We don't mass-produce; we focus on the aroma that comes from roasting.
This roasted green tea can be enjoyed by everyone, from young children to the elderly, for generations to come.
*Please choose between tea bags or loose leaf tea.

Kyoto Uji Tea Koshō Tea Plantation awaits your Uji tea leaves.
The first Matazaemon started farming in this Yamashiro region of Kyoto.
This area, blessed with abundant sunshine, fertile soil, and just the right amount of humidity from clear streams, was ideal for cultivating tea leaves with a rich aroma and flavor, which is how tea farming began here.
Matasaburo then began to fully dedicate himself to tea farming and expand his tea plantation.
This tea plantation has been passed down through generations, starting with Matazaemon, and we continue to cultivate our tea plants with meticulous care to this day.
We have received Eco-Farmer certification, a system established by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries to certify producers who promote highly sustainable agricultural production methods, and we have introduced environmentally friendly production methods.
We ensure safety and quality through our own unique farming standards.
Located in the Yamashiro region of Kyoto, our tea plantation has been in operation for five generations. We maintain our tea plantation in this area blessed with clean water and air, carrying on the tradition of Uji tea from Kyoto.
