Single origin

All the tea leaves offered by CHABAKKA are single-origin, from a single farm and a single variety.

A single-estate tea is tea whose origin—who, when, where, what, and how—can be identified.

Single-variety tea refers to tea made from tea leaves of a single variety grown in each tea garden, without blending. Like wine or sake, it allows you to enjoy the unique flavor characteristics resulting from differences in "variety, soil, climate, and cultivation methods."

At CHABAKKA, we source all our single-origin tea leaves directly from producers in each region, bypassing wholesalers and other intermediaries. This allows us to build closer relationships with our customers and ensures clear traceability (a management system that allows tracking from production to the consumer's hands).
